The 20th anniversary of this spectacular winter festival will host World-class musicians taking to a tropical stage.
The Australian Festival of Chamber Music (AFCM), recognised as the most prestigious international chamber music event in the Southern Hemisphere, is counting down to its most exciting and diverse programme to date in a special celebration of the Festival’s 20th anniversary.
Held in Townsville, North Queensland from 30 July – 7 August, the 2010 AFCM anniversary programme will see a mix of contemporary chamber music artists like Synergy Percussion and renowned didgeridoo artist and composer William Barton, with not-to-be-missed performances from long-time favourites, including the Australian String Quartet, the Goldner String Quartet and UK based cellist, Louise Hopkins.
