Ever wanted to blow your horn from the rooftops of the city?
Want to know what it’s like to play for the circus? Want to shout the blues from the balconies of Macquarie Street ? Here’s your chance.
Sydney Festival Festival First Night is celebrating the saxophone with acclaimed Sydney saxophonist Sandy Evans leading a massed ensemble in a series of performances around the city on Saturday January 9, 2010.

Saxophonists MUST be available on the following dates / times:
Date: Thursday January 7, 2010
Time: 1.30pm to 6.00pm
Venue: Abraham Mott Hall
17 Argyle Place , Millers Point

EVENT: Saturday January 9, 2010
Time: 5.30pm to 10.00pm
(performances 7.00pm – 10.00pm)
Venue: Sydney CBD (meeting point to be advised)

There will be an OPTIONAL introductory session as follows:
Date: Monday December 14, 2009
Time: 6.30pm to 8.30pm
Venue: Festival First Night office
Level 1, 12 Argyle Street , The Rocks

Musicians will be able to ask questions about the music and the event. This will also be a chance to play through the music in a relaxed environment. Please bring a music stand if you are reading the music.
