The Polo crowd sure know how to chukka party! (sorry chaps).
The 2008 Paspaley Polo in the City series was launched in the elegant style of the Piano Bar in Sydney where arrivals were greeted by a large image of a magnificent polo steed charging through the streets of Sydney. The poster, created by Polo in the City promoter Janec Gazecki, said it all – the polo is coming to town.
So whether you are a polo enthusiast, a lover of horses or an enthusiastic lover of a good time be sure to chalk this event up on the board.
Held in Sydney’s Centennial Park, Polo in the City incorporates sponsored marquees, some ticket sales (already sold out) and the opportunity for the public to picnic free on the surrounding grassed areas.
It is a rare opportunity for city slickers to witness one of the oldest, fastest and fastest growing sports in the world with some of Australia’s best professional polo talent, including Ruki Baillieu, Glen Gilmore and Robert Archibald
