* NATIONAL Songwriting for Kids
National Songwriting Competition For Kids 2013. Schoolchildren of all ages – from primary through to high school – are being encouraged to enter the Australian Children Music Foundation’s (ACMF) 11th annual Competition.
- Entries close on 27 September 2013
Kids can enter by recording a song and lodging their entry with the ACMF. Entry is free.
“It’s as simple as recording a song on a mobile phone,” said ACMF CEO Don Spencer. “Advances in technology mean that entering is incredibly easy. Kids can enter by recording an audio file or even filming a clip of their song and uploading it to YouTube.”
The National Songwriting Competition is open to all schoolchildren from four to 18 years of age, from anywhere around Australia. Entries close on September 27. Prizes will be awarded in a number of categories and include $30,000 worth of musical equipment and tuition.
Since the National Songwriting Competition started, the ACMF has awarded more than$500,000 worth of musical equipment to schools and children across Australia.
