No cricket tragic should miss Northcott’s 16th Annual Cricket Legends Lunch on Friday, 11 November at Doltone House, Jones Bay Wharf. Starting at 11.30am, guests will have the pleasure of hearing first-class cricket commentary as lively discussions heat up in the lead up to the Test series against South Africa, India and New Zealand. The event will also launch a first-of-its-kind Adaptive Cricket game, which will allow people of all abilities to play a new style of inclusive cricket. Five years in the making and in response to an international need in the sporting and disability communities, this innovative new game comes complete with formal rules and modified equipment.
The Northcott Cricket Legends Lunch began in 1997 and ever since then, guests have enjoyed hearing from cricket greats which include Richie Benaud OBE, Michael Bevan, Allan Border, Geoff Lawson OAM, Merv Hughes, Mike Whitney, Alan Davidson AM MBE, Brett Lee and the Waugh brothers to name a few.
Ticket prices for this unforgettable lunch are $200 for an individual ticket, $2,000 for a table of 10 or $2,600 for a table of 10 plus a legendary cricket host. A portion of each ticket price is tax deductible. Ticket price includes a three course meal complemented by a selection of Australia’s finest wines and beers.
All proceeds raised from the event will go towards Northcott’s Recreation service, which each year provides hundreds of children and adults living with a physical disability with the opportunity to participate in recreation-based activities of their choice.
