The third annual Vacation Care Carnival hosted by the SHOROC Councils of Pittwater, Manly, Mosman and Warringah.
The Council Carnival will bring together up to 200 children from across Mosman and the northern beaches for a day of fun and activities organised by vacation care staff from the four Councils.
The carnival, organised by 25 vacation care staff, is for kindergarten to year six school students.
Merron Howard, Pittwater Council’s Children’s Services Coordinator, said this year the carnival would include a range of activities including Martial Arts, Rugby, Zumba and Athletics workshops.
“And to keep the children’s energy levels topped up, our vacation care staff will be providing the children with a hearty BBQ lunch,” said Mrs Howard
Harvey Rose, SHOROC President and Pittwater Mayor, said the carnival was a great opportunity for children from across the four Council areas to meet new people and mingle in a fun environment.
“Our vacation care staff also get a rare opportunity to meet and network with their counterparts from Manly, Warringah and Mosman councils.
Mayor Rose said the four Councils all provided a wide range of activities to keep children entertained throughout the holidays.
