Dine for Victoria in Sydney
The Icebergs Restaurant at Bondi hosted the launch of Victoria’s ‘Nourish to Flourish’ campaign where Sydneysiders are being encouraged to help Yarra Valley and High Country food and wine producers to get back on their feet. Over the next few weeks diners at the participating top line restaurants in Sydney will be encouraged to select dishes with Yarra Valley and High Country produced ingredients – as well as at home.
With the Bondi surf pounding below us the celeb, restaurateur and media packed room was stirred by a heartfelt speech by the Victorian Minister for Water, Finance, Tourism and Major Events, The Hon Tim Holding, on the devastation and the ernest re-building of the fire ravished areas in Victoria.
The terrific bunch of celebrities, including Charlotte Dawson, Bianca Dye, James Kidman from Otto, Bridget Holmes-a-Court, came along (and stayed) to add extra pizzaz to the event. They all genuinely seemed to share empathy for businesses which had suffered badly through such a devastating event and to be supportive behind the promotion to remind people that the businesses which supply such great produce were very much alive and still producing.
A very well organised event for a very worthwhile project put forward to assist Victorian producers to re-build and again, flourish.
So diners get behind this very worthwhile promotion and support the participating restaurants.Share
