NYE fireworks by the sea in Manly – Event located in an Alcohol and Smoke Free reserve adjacent to Manly Ferry Wharf.

  • 6.00pm and 9.00pm

Fireworks on New Year’s Eve – 31 December 2009
The community celebration includes a spectacular fireworks show at 9.00pm jointly presented by Council in association with Manly Wharf Hotel, Bavarian Bier Café, Manly Phoenix Restaurant, Garfish Restaurant, Hugo’s Manly Skiff Club and 4 Pines Restaurant in Manly Cove.
Families will enjoy the fireworks spectacle from East and West Esplanade Reserves adjacent to Manly Ferry Wharf . Free family entertainment will include roving performers and jumping castles.

Entertainment highlights will include:
percussion group ‘Drum Beats’ (back by popular demand) presenting an exciting range of interactive performances including African drumming, Arabic drumming, and World percussion (http://www.drumbeats.com.au/)
Face Focus – face painting (located at the Manly Visitor Information Centre on Manly Wharf forecourt (http://www.facefocus.com.au/)
Council invites you to join in the New Year’s Eve evening celebrations planned for your enjoyment with families, neighbours and friends gathering at our beautiful harbour side venue. 

This event is located in an Alcohol Free reserve and is Smoke Free for your enjoyment.

In Manly this year, the roads along the Ocean beachfront will be open to traffic and you are encouraged to park in one of the four Council parking stations located in Whistler, Pacific Waves, Peninsula and Manly National buildings.

The North and South Steyne beachfront is not a venue for any Council entertainment or activities on New Years Eve.
