‘Glimpses – Lives in Transition’ is a free photography exhibition organised by Australian Red Cross and is helping turn the tables by giving a voice to marginalised refugees and asylum seekers.
In all 30 vulnerable migrants aged from about 25 to 50-years-old, from Greater Sydney, were given a camera and professional training. They were then asked to take photographs that expressed their thoughts and feelings. The resulting 49 art works have been put together in this exhibition.
Those involved in the Glimpses exhibition, come from all over the world, including countries such as Rwanda, North Korea, Indonesia, Iran, Nigeria, Nepal, Thailand, Fiji, Pakistan, Malaysia, the Philippines and Sri Lanka.
