Depazzi from the norm at Lush n Loud
The Lush n Loud Gallery resembled a guiding light on the footpath as we jostled down Victoria Avenue Parramatta amongst the marauding footy crowd heading for their goal up the road. This mob of footy fans were extremely un-lushn and un-elegant but they were certainly loud and primal.
The Lush n Loud ‘Primal Elegance’ invite had to flag something out of the ordinary to lure MiSociety out west on a Saturday night but the minute we stepped through the door here it was like “WOW”. The wonderful explosion of colour, creativity and vibe inside was instantly palpable. This place is not like any art gallery you have seen before.
The place was buzzing with lively guests contained within walls and floors alive with paintings, sculptures, vintage pieces and a whole manner of interesting objects. One could spend hours in this Aladin’s Cave just looking around.
Lush n Loud host great fun parties with this one held to showcase ‘Primal Elegance’ by the House of Depazzi. This collection of exclusive jewellery and accessories are uniquely and wholly Australian and includes some absolutely stunning pieces.
Bruce Tully, the Creative Director of Depazzi, has a passion for his work obvious in every piece on display. Gorgeous, gorgeous pieces and all a one of a kind. Bruce told us he is intending to open a store in Sydney so remember the name Dapazzi.
Trays laden with a yummy variety of both hot and cold food were in abundance accompanied by red bubbles, wine and beer. The sociable, fun and interesting guests mingled, laughed and all got to know each other in quick time.
Just to spice things up to another level Mimi Munroe burst on the scene for the first of her three performances. Mimi is one of Australia’s foremost Burlesque performers and it was easy to see why. Her costumes are amazing and her style entertaining and fun but most of all she puts real art back into Burlesque.
Anya Loud and Marilyn Whall are the creative minds behind Lush n Loud and hold these VIP soirees from time to time for invited guests, friends and others so watch this space (or theirs) for the next one. We’re sure you won’t go home disappointed – we certainly didn’t this time.
