The 2009 Autumn Carnival at Royal Randwick wound up on Saturday with a good crowd and all the excitement that a day at the races is about.
The track side Schweppes Marquee was relaxed and fun with competitions, prizes and their own Fashions on the Field. With lots of good food and plenty to drink that included Schweppes ‘Agrum’ the new ’soft’ alternative (and it’s pretty good too) no-one was in a rush to leave.
The ANZAC Day tribute bought a phenomin that is likely a first and something the large crowd all abided by – complete silence at the Royal Randwick race track.
Kids Fashions on the Field
The pint sized kids Fashions on the Field was just gorgeous with cuties Kaitlan Rawillar and Taidyn Iskandar taking out the prizes. High 5 was on hand to ensure the kids all had a great time and their smiles say it all.
MiSociety caught up with an old friend from way (way) back John Rendall who is in Australia to launch he and Ace Bourke’s book ‘Christian the Lion’.
