Slide Bar’s Four Faces of Love dishes up meaty theatre
Slide, one of Sydney’s top live theatre spots, in conjunction with Blancmange Productions, launched their all-new theatre and dining experience, 4 Faces of Love.
The opening night of Four Faces of Love was fabulous as was the previous show Vampire Stories. Delicious food, perfectly timed between four short pieces of theatre, worked very well.
Slide Bar’s Four Faces of Love is not flimsy theatre. The four pieces are diverse with a couple of them embracing rather meaty topics. The audience this night included many for the media who are quite discerning and we can tell you during the plays unless they appropriately laughed you could have hear a pin drop – they all sat (along with us) – engrossed.
Special guests, including the legendary Barry Crocker, and over 100 members of the media, enjoyed an exquisite three-course degustation and four unique plays all based on the theme of love.
To accompany the show, guests were treated to the 4 Faces of Love cocktail list, proudly sponsored by Russian Standard Vodka.
Melinda Schneider, the six-time Golden Guitar winning singer, gave a surprise appearance and was one of the highlights of the evening. Schneider wowed the audience with songs from her new album ‘Melinda does Doris’ and opened the first play of the evening ‘The Doris Day Collection’.
4 Faces of Love will run every Wednesday evening for a 13 week season.
