Prohibition + Elderflowers + Harvest = St-Germain at Establishment Hotel
St-Germain liqueur is made from elderflowers and here we were in the Gin Garden of the Establishment Hotel celebrating the annual harvesting of this French blossom. With the dress code ’Prohibition’ , the Gin Garden decked out to resemble an atmosphere of somewhere in France and a friendly media and hospitality crowd, and, not having actually ever been to an elderflower harvest before (here or anywhere else), it looked like a pretty good substitute. The party also came complete with a burlesque dancer who was certainly a class above the norm – oh Mercy!
The cocktails were delicious with our fave being the St-Germain and sparkling wine with a twist of lemon – yum. Handi from Planet Cakes outdid himself with the production of a cake that all initially believed was actually a St-Germain bottle – well done.
