Lancaster Men, author talk Peter Rees
Prepare to be entertained and moved by the rarely told stories of heroic young Aussie men who flew dangerous missions in World War II yet were not honoured on their return to their home country, as journalist and author Peter Rees discusses his new book Lancaster Men.

The Book Stack 2: The People’s Choice
The State Library’s new social book club, The Book Stack, celebrate the six titles shortlisted for the 2013 Christina Stead Prize, the fiction category of the NSW Premier’s Literary Awards. The event includes readings by  the award-winning author Dr Kathryn Heyman and Sydney Morning Herald’s literary editor Susan Wyndham.

Join us for a glittering celebration of excellence in Australian writing held on the eve of the Sydney Writers’ Festival. The NSW Premier’s Literary Awards pays tribute to talented Australian writers: novelists, poets, playwrights, scriptwriters, translators, and authors of non-fiction and children’s books.
