Cybersafety: Free Parenting Workshop
Cyber bullying in Australia is on the rise with recent research showing that one in five 16 – 17 year olds have experienced some form of cyber bullying.
Parents are invited to this FREE information session at Council Chambers on Sunday 2 May, 10am – 12pm.
Key information will be presented about:
What cyber bullying is
How it occurs
Why kids use cyberspace
The impact of cyber bullying
How to know if your child is a victim or perpetrator, and
How parents can manage and prevent situations arising.
The session will be facilitated by Dr Terri Said from Waverley Action for Youth Services (WAYS) and be followed by a question and answer session with Dr Said and Ross Bark.
The session will start with a screening of the short film Best Enemies by Ross and Darren Bark.
