Manly Council’s ‘Dogs Day Out’ at Clontarf Reserve. Doggie fancy dress and look-alike competitions, Jack Russell Racing track event, dog obedience & lots more
- Sunday 8 August 2010
- 10:30am to 2:30pm
“Highlights will include the Norwest Thunderdogs Flyball Team and demonstrations of obedience and agility by the Manly & District Kennel & Dog Training Club, and a NSW Police Dog Squad demonstration,” said Mayor of Manly and proud dog owner, Councillor Jean Hay.
Meet with experts to learn about dog behaviour and training, treat your dog to some ‘Doggylato’ (gelato for dogs), hear about the Greyhound Adoption Program and meet up with 16 other advice and information service providers.
“The aim of the Dogs Day Out event is to create a fun day out for all and to promote responsible pet ownership,” said Mayor of Manly and proud dog owner, Councillor Jean Hay.
“Don’t miss the fancy dress and look-alike competitions, and due to popular demand, this year will see the return of the Jack Russell Racing track event.” “So, if you have a Jack Russell or similar terrier breed, bring them along to have a go!”
All dogs must be on leads at all times. Join us in the fun of the Dogs Day, and enjoy a snack from Clonny’s Kiosk which will be open for the community.
