Young people from across Sydney are invited to celebrate the opening of Youth Week in Sydney at a dance party extravaganza at Sydney Opera House.

Youth Week 2012. The annual “Centre Stage” under-18s party will take place at The Studio, part of the World Heritage listed Sydney Opera House.
Performers at the “Centre Stage” dance party include Faydee, Steve Play, Young Phaze, Anfo, Jagged Beats, Steviees, Benny Beatz, Novah, Kebabi, Buuu, Zabakly, Chriss Koop, Punk Monk Productions, Benny Z and Simon Little.
The drug-and alcohol-free event promises to be a safe celebration for young people with loads of entertainment including DJs, singers, dance battles and live animation.
This is a drug- and alcohol-free event; there are no pass-outs and there will be full security and a police presence.
When: 7pm-11pm Friday 13 April 2012 (doors close 7:45pm).

Cost: $10 tickets must be pre-purchased.

This popular dance party is drug and alcohol free and a chance for young people to celebrate the beginning of Youth Week in the City.
Sunday 15 April – Youth Week Short Film Showcase
Museum of Contemporary Art
This evening of cinema will showcase films made by young people or about young people’s achievements and issues, with links to Sydney.
Thursday 19 April – Youth Week in the City Sports Day
KGV Recreation Centre
This fun and active day includes basketball and soccer competitions, as well as activities and interactive games to challenge young people’s ideas about sport.
13-27 April – smart ARTS Youth Arts and Cultural Festival
Pine Street Creative Arts Centre
This two week festival is a showcase of the creative talents and initiatives of young people in the areas of visual arts, design, film, performance art and music.
