On a dark and stormy night…..
On a dark and stormy night in Sydney, some literati may have been tempted to snuggle into bed with a cup of cocoa and a good book. But MiSociety and other hardy souls who did venture out found it well worth the effort to attend the Sydney Writers Opening Night. The after party followed the Writers’ Festival Opening Address by Nigeria writer and Orange Prize-winner Chimamanda Ngozi.at the Sydney Theatre.
Invitees, including many visiting international writers, mingled, nattered and munched on hearty ‘rainy night’ fare of toasted sandwiches and pies amongst Naomi Jones’ spectacular floral arrangements at the hosting venue ‘Simmer On The Bay’.Share
