The elegant surroundings of Centennial Park’s ‘Parklands’ restaurant saw the food elite of Sydney gather to taste test samples of what Sydneysiders will be in for at the inaugural ‘Taste of Sydney’ 2009.
MiSociety is fortunate in that we have the opportunity to taste some of Sydney’s best party food but we by no means profess to be food ‘experts’ but our “oos, ahhs and ‘oh wow’s'” were echoed loundly around the venue by those who are. Tasters were offered dishes that would set the taste buds dancing for even the most jaded of palates.
Sydney’s ‘Taste’ expects to be serving 50,000 tantalising taste sized signature dishes prepared by the chefs from the 15 restaurants selected to participate and is to be held over four days in March 2009 with over 3,000 tickets sold already.
With patron entry levels ranging from $25 for general admission to $100 for the VIP deal in the Emirates Lounge, The ‘Taste of Sydney’ is set to become a social calendar highlight for Sydney’s foodies and ‘want to be seen’ partyers.
