The Passage Bar and Restaurant Launch, Darlinghurst

The competition to win dinner for two at The Passage is now closed – winners have been notified
The Passage Bar and Restaurant is just far enough up the road from the heart of Kings Cross for civility. The owners of The Passage threw a launch party that didn’t need a rent a crowd as so many of the arriving quests appeared to be personal friends of Ed, Andy and Mark. This is not surprising as these guys are an amicable trio.
What a nice change to go to a party at a venue where you could join the throng at the bar or retreat to a cosy table to sit, chat and enjoy the yummy fare without having to perform the standing food, drink juggling feat.
The Passage is offering share tappas style plates with a surprisingly good wine list in a long narrow space that cleverly encompasses four diversely styled areas all of which are chic and inviting.
Sydney’s restaurant and bar scene is expanding faster than Masterchef Matt Preston’s girth with many eateries offering good food on a plate. The establishments that will survive will be the ones where patrons go away feeling they have enjoyed the whole experience and this is where the passion and presence of owners like Andy, Mark and Ed comes into play.
