The Restaurant and Catering Awards for Excellence

The Annual Restaurant and Catering Awards for Excellence dinner was held in the Sydney Convention centre.

The room was full of hoteliers, caterers and restauranteers who were eagerly waiting for news of the winners

Simon  Marnie was an excellent MC and kept the show on the road.  Great to see John Hemmes being recognized for his services to the industry  and my favourite caterer, Belinda Franks winning the top caterers award.

Lots of famous foodies including Janni Kattis, Wolfie Pizem, Peter Doyle, Tony Bilson plus a gathering of state politicians ( including Barry O’ Farrell, State Opposition Leader)  from the government and opposition benches sharing the top tables.”

    Does any one know who won corporate caterer of the year? Elizabeth Andrews Corporate Catering in Melbourne was a finalist for Victoria so we did not attend the function in Sydney.
