A Volvo and Bronze Sculptures bridge the gap between adventure and art
Lukas Christoph Baumann (who you may remember as the man who drove his Volvo from his homeland of Switzerland to the 2009 Melbourne Cup) joined forces with Sydney based bronze sculptress Linda Klarfeld to present an evening of culture and intrigue to a select crowd of guests including The Swiss Consulate General, Markus Meli who emceed the event.
Lukas Christoph Baumann was naturally the star attraction amongst the throng of some 100 plus guests as they sipped fine wines and boutique beers and nibbled their way through European-style h’orderves while swanning around the amazing bronze sculptures on display.
Melinda McMahon (daughter of former Prime Minister Sir William McMahon and sister to spunky actor Julian McMahon) made an appearance alongside Angela Bell-McSweeney. The younger generation of social butterflies Stephanie Ryan-Smith, Flavia Fayet, Rebecca Park and Francesca Champagne mingled and chatted. Mixed in the list were guests from France, Spain, China and Switzerland who had come to town for the night.
