Toko Restaurant and Bar certainly drummed up some interest around Surry Hills for their second Birthday Party.
Gathering together an eclectic mix of friends and locals and serving up a scrumptious selection of their Japanese cuisine with ‘endless’ (which is the English translation of ‘Toko’) delicious cocktails, the guys and gals from Toko created a terrific party.
In addition to the guest celebrities the management of Toko had invited the locals, many of whom were existing customers, to their birthday celebrations. Toko’s enthusiastic restaurant and bar manager, Sunny Matharu, said they were committed to ensuring Toko was an integral part of the community rather than just ‘another restaurant and bar’ that, like so many, make no special effort with local involvement.
The best parties are always the ones with a good diverse bunch of people and this one certainly had that. The always delightful Ross Greenwood was there with his wife Tanya whose fashion store ‘Handcut’, is doing fabulously well refashioning unwanted clothes and sheets into desirable new outfits. A relaxed Toby Osmond with Catherine Caines came to sample the food along with Sonny Burns and the Countess of Pop, Swedish singer Emilia De Poret. As always, the delightful, glamorous and professional Sally Burleigh team did a fabulous PR job for the event.
