NSW Tourism  ‘Tweeting up’ the youthful adventurer through social media
Tourism NSW chose the Ivy Penthouse to announce the launch of their new Visit NSW campaign and their recruitment of some local Australian talent to help promote tourism to NSW to more young Australians.

Guy Sebastian and filmmaker Matilda Brown (daughter of Rachael Ward and Bryan Brown) have been enlisted to lead the charge to encourage young holidaymakers to visit Sydney and NSW. 

George Souris, Minister for Tourism, Major Events and Hospitality NSW, said at the launch “Guy Sebastian, Matilda Brown and other young personalities would team up with expert travel bloggers in the online campaign to promote the State’s best events plus beach, adventure, nature, food and wine experiences”.

Mr Souris added that “They will be joined by Channel V VJ Danny Clayton, footwear designer Nikki Hager, champion surfer Sally Fitzgibbons and Merivale Chef Dan Hong to act as online concierges for young travellers in Sydney and NSW”.

Matilda Brown (with maybe a little help from her mum and dad) has produced a series of five, fun, short films that had their first public screening on the night.   Matilda’s films, starring Fiona Trick,  will be aired on YouTube only to take advantage of the burgeoning trend towards marketing via social media. 

Lime Cordiale, made up of band members, Brendan Champion, James Jennings, Oliver Leimbach and Louis Leimbach, livened up the dance floor when they hit the stage with their ‘quirky pop’ music style.  These guys show all the signs of having a great musical future ahead of them.

The young guests and bloggers were delighted to be at the Ivy Penthouse for their first visit and obviously reveled in the opulent surrounds and the great food and wine on offer.  No doubt their Twitter and Facebook pages were running red hot all night.
