Celebration party for  35 years of Variety in Australia attracts a host of celebrities
Government House in Sydney housed a host of celebrities who have given great support to Variety over the years.  Guests included Maria Venuti, Kamahl, Melinda Schneider, Celina Edmonds, Ben Elias, Lizzy Lovett, Bianca Dye, Sami Lukis, Melissa Doyle, Richard Wilkins, John Paul Young, Barry Crocker, John Williamson Amber Higlett and Glenn Wheeler.

The Hon. Kristina Keneally, our NSW State Premier, looked stunning in a little black number and it was nice to see Stewart Wagstaff still looking bright eyed and bushy tailed.  Glen Wheeler M.C.’d the night while celebrating his birthday – he has reached the big 50.

Variety was started by celebrities back in 1928 after 11 actors in Pennsylvania found a baby girl abandoned in the Sheridan Theatre and decided to foster the child, naming her Catherine Variety Sheridan.  Variety became known as the “heart of show business” with celebrities from all arenas lending their support.  Variety in Australia is no exception with it being the charity of choice of many sporting and media personalities.
