Variety – the Children’s Charity NSW is hosting their fifth annual Variety of Chefs for Sydneysiders wanting to indulge in the ultimate culinary and entertainment experience.
- Saturday 1st June, 2013
- Hilton Ballroom
Variety of Chefs event will literally offer the world on a plate for guests in an interactive, live kitchen stadium setup hosted by seven renown chefs in the Hilton Ballroom on Saturday 1st June, 2013.
Variety of Chefs in 2013 will have more chefs than ever before on the Masterchef-esque stage, with seven astoundingly inventive chefs combining their talents to create a unique around the world themed event. Japan will be brought to the table by Ben Orpwood from Toko, France by Adam Humphrey from Arras, Modern Australian by Matt Kemp from Gazebo Wine Garden, Turkey by Somer Sivrioglu from Efendy, Greek by George Diamond from Keystone Group and Italian by past Masterchef contestant Kylie Millar from Burch and Purchese. While James Viles from Biota will be giving the menu his signature touch of artisan.
Variety Ambassadors Karen Ledbury and Matt Adamson will host the glamorous affair including its novel culinary reality TV style games on stage, where the host of celebrity chefs man the on stage kitchen. There will also be an auction of money-can’t-buy lifestyle and getaway prizes on the night with all proceeds going toward Variety.
Not only is this wonderful event a treat for foodies, but Variety’s kids have benefited from it having raised $500,000 over the past four years. This year all proceeds will go towards Variety’s Freedom Program, in particular-towards Variety’s Princess Charlotte Alopecia program – giving confidence and self-esteem back to children who have lost all their hair, with the provision of human hair suction wigs.
This year’s theme, Around the World, screams bigger and better than before, whilst maintaining the annual price tag of $250 per person or $2,250 for a table of ten, which includes a handpicked array of matching wines for each course.
