Vivid Sydney 2013 is bigger and better than ever, with an expanded program across light, music and ideas and an extended footprint in new and existing precincts across Sydney from Fort Denison to Walsh Bay and now the Inner West.

VIVID LIGHT- From 6pm 24 May – 10 June 2013
Sydney and its surrounds light up in one of the world’s most extraordinary light shows.  The Sydney Harbour Bridge with in 2013 explode in light to compete with the Sydney Opera House’s amazing lighting of the sails.

VIVID Sydney 2013  partner, Intel Australia, has teamed up with Sydney-based lightwork innovators 32 Hundred Lighting to create a world-first immersive projection onto the bridge?s western face which will be controlled by the public from an interactive touch screen located on the Luna Park boardwalk.

From 6.00pm to midnight every night, between 24 May and 10 June, spectators will be able to choose the scene and colour of the projection beamed along the upper and lower arches and the road deck of the western face of Sydney Harbour Bridge.

VIVID Sydney 2013  will continue to surprise and delight festival-goers this year with an outstanding program featuring leading local and international creative industries talent and magnificent light artistry that will transform the city after dark into a spectacular canvas of colour and illumination.

VIVID LIVE – 24 May 24 – 2 June 2013
From May 24 – June 2, Sydney Opera House will welcome some of the most ambitious and innovative local and international artists for a ten-day celebration of music on the nation’s most famous stages.  Vivid LIVE invites the world’s leading artists, creative collectives, promoters and digital animators to raise the roof of Sydney Opera House’s theatres, rehearsal spaces, recording studios and most famously, its iconic sails.

VIVID IDEAS – 24 May - 10 June 2013
Sydney’s brilliantly illuminated foreshore will be the perfect backdrop for Australia’s biggest gathering of local and global industry leaders and emerging talent, where creative professionals will come together to collaborate, foster business connections and showcase new ideas

Doctor Who projections on Customs House -  Saturday 1 June 2013 
Customs House at Circular Quay grand façade will showcase an amazing visual feast of 3D-mapped projections of Doctor Who as he travels through space and time, pursued by some of his greatest enemies.

A one-night only celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Doctor Who, and sees Australian creative innovators, The Spinifex Group, working with the Doctor Who team to create projections that will deliver a show-stopping, unique anniversary celebration for Doctor Who’s legion of fans

Vivid Music takes place during the last week of Vivid SydneyVivid Music brings new electronic, dance and experimental sounds to audiences during Vivid Sydney,

Music fans are in for a treat as the program expands.  Vivid Music, which will complement Vivid Live at Sydney Opera House, is set to bring new music experiences to new venues in the city and the inner west.

Vivid Music takes place during the last week of Vivid Sydney, and will highlight international and local innovation and experimentation in dance, electronic, improvised and experimental music including: Terminal Projekt at the Overseas Passenger Terminal showcasing some of the most famous international names in leading-edge electronic dance and house music; a night of local DJ talent at the Argyle in The Rocks; a two-day program of arts-based experimental and improvised music and contemporary composition at the Seymour Centre in the inner west; and a program of sound art performances at ISEA2013 at Carriageworks.
