Warringah Art Exhibition 2013 Registrations Open

June 20th, 2013

Registrations are now open for the 2013 Warringah Art Exhibition, presented by Warringah Council.

  •  Registrations close 5pm, Monday 8 July 2013

Warringah Art Exhibition is the northern beaches’ most prestigious art competition and this year is offering $9,000 in prizes.

“Warringah Council is again proud to host this important annual cultural event, and I am encouraging all artists aged over 12 to enter an artwork,” said Warringah Mayor Michael Regan.

“One of the key components of the exhibition is the popular Waste to Art category, where artists use their creative skills to transform waste into an artwork with an environmental message.

“Since Waste to Art began in 2009, this category has grown in size, creativity and skill.

“The quality and ingenuity of artwork is remarkable and has grown over the past four years. Artworks are so sophisticated now, you would hardly know many of them were made from reclaimed items, and I am looking forward to seeing what will be entered this year,” said Mayor Regan.

Registrations close 5pm, Monday 8 July 2013.
