Share the festive spirit of peace, joy and goodwill at Lights of Christmas proudly presented by NSW Government, as Sydney celebrates the beauty of Christmas in a spectacle of light and song.
St Mary’s Cathedral, College St Sydney
St Mary’s Cathedral will display a beautiful light treatment capturing the essence of Australia’s natural beauty during summer, featuring traditional Christmas colours and imagery inspired by the Cathedral itself.
Enjoy free choral performances against the stunning backdrop of St Mary’s Cathedral nightly from 7.30pm on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights during Lights of Christmas. The program will feature some of the best choir groups in Australia, producing harmonies to capture the spirit of Christmas.
Hyde Park Barracks, Macquarie St, Sydney
Hyde Park Barracks Museum will be lit up in an exciting and vibrant way, presenting itself as a Christmas gift to the city of pop art inspired colour and movement, accompanied by a unique Christmas soundtrack.
Sunday 19 December 2010 The Coogee Carols
6.30pm – 8.30pm at Goldstein Reserve on Coogee Beach
The 2010 carols will be hosted by Dr Chris Brown and Ed Phillips. This year’s performers include Brendan Moar, Katie Nejaim, Simon Price, The Supper Supremes, Tony Cogin, Sophie Katinis, Jaynie Seal, John Howard (the actor), Chloe Dallimore, Martin Crewes and more.
19 December 2010 Christmas by the Beach and Carols by the Sea
Warringah Council is once again bringing Christmas festivities to Dee Why Beach in 2010. The day will feature kid’s entertainment, live music, Christmas animals and a special appearance from Santa Claus. There will be over 40 market stalls featuring fashion, homewares and last minute gift ideas. Carols by the Sea will kick off at 5pm presented by the Dee Why Collegiate of Churches.

December 23 – Rose Bay Neighbourhood Christmas Carols
Time: From 5.30pm
Come along and enjoy a free sausage sizzle and soft drinks and a puppet show at 6.00pm, followed by carols (song sheets provided). A special performance will be given by a combined churches choir, featuring a lead soprano and tenor.
