Red letter dinner for World AIDS Day 2010
World AIDS Day Dinner 2010 held at the Oaks Lawn Marquee, Royal Randwick Racecourse, Sydney drew a terrific crowd to help raise funds for the Bobby Goldsmith Foundation in the continuing fight against AIDS.
Deborah Mailman was M.C. for the night that included a performance from Wendy Matthews to entertain the ‘wear a dash of red’ diners. This was the inaugural World AIDS Day Dinner in Sydney and here’s hoping it becomes an annual event.
“Every contribution, large or small, to the fight against the HIV pandemic makes a difference. I commend this team for their energy and vision in staging this inaugural World AIDS Day Dinner and I wish them every success in their contribution to the multi-faceted effort to defeat HIV/AIDS.” Message from David A Cooper, Director the National Centre in HIV Epidemiology and Clinical Research at the University of New South Wales.
